A two-minute silence will be held across New Zealand on Tuesday at 12.51pm to remember those who lost their lives in the Christchurch earthquake.
Prime Minister John Key today called on people to mark the one-week anniversary of the 6.3 magnitude earthquake.
He said the earthquake "may be New Zealand's single most tragic event".
