Gili, an Akolet man who became a believer last October, is growing in his walk with the Lord.
The timber company that keeps edging closer to the people's garden areas recently damaged several of Gili's trees. He asked them for compensation for the damages, and they gave him 600 kina (about $200).
Gili decided to give some of it to other people. He chose people who have been coming to the teaching and seem to be understanding and eagerly waiting for the rest of the truth.
"Why did you do that?" Adam asked him.
"I've been hearing what you guys have been working on in the first chapters of Acts, where the believers shared stuff with each other and looked out for each others' needs." Gili said. "So I figured, I will keep some of this money and I will give some to people who seem to be waiting for Jesus to deliver them."
"What a joy to watch him … growing in [his] newfound faith," Julie wrote. "This is such exciting stuff. Thanks for praying."
