JERUSALEM, ISRAEL (ANS) -- TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site that assists customers in gathering travel information, posting reviews and opinions of travel related content, has named Jerusalem as as one of its leading travel places to visit in the world in their Travelers’ Choice® destinations in 2011.

“We are excited to have Jerusalem named the 13th best travel destination in the world by TripAdvisor,” said Haim Gutin, Tourism Commissioner, North and South America.
Other cities named in the top 25 travel destinations include: Cape Town, South Africa; Sydney, Australia, Machu Picchu, Peru; Paris, France; Rio De Janeiro, Brazil; New York City, New York; Rome, Italy; London, United Kingdom; Barcelona, Spain; Hong Kong, China.
Jerusalem is a holy city to the three major Abrahamic religions -- Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
