CfaN President Daniel Kolenda: Jesus raised 3-year-old boy from the dead

The president and CEO of Christ for all Nations and co-evangelist of Reinhard Bonnke told in his exclusive interview toChristian Telegraph how he started his ministry with legendary evangelist and what exciting miracles he saw. Also Daniel Kolenda gave three practical advices to young generation of ministers.

Tell us please how did you start your ministry with Reinhard Bonnke?

While pastoring a young church plant in the United States, I took a job at the CfaN (Christ for all Nations) offices in Orlando just to make ends meet. My first job there was in the warehouse. I was packing boxes, mailing packages and taking inventory. That is where Evangelist Bonnke found me and eventually invited me to travel with him as a personal assistant. In II Kings, Elisha is described as the one who, “…poured water on the hands of Elijah.” This is a good description of my job as an assistant; I was simply helping to meet Evangelist Bonnke’s day-to-day needs and just generally being a servant. But (although I did not realize it at the time) that humble assignment was a divinely orchestrated set up that positioned me to catch a mantle. As I “poured water” on the hands of Evangelist Bonnke, the passion and single-minded evangelistic drive that he is so well known for was very contagious and I caught it. That is when the inevitable happened…I left CfaN to go into full time evangelistic ministry. Later, Evangelist Bonnke would invite me to come back and minister at his side from time to time. As this relationship developed, it became clear to all of us that there was something special and sovereign happening. Today I am the president and CEO of CfaN and minister alongside Evangelist Bonnke as his co-evangelist.

What plans do you currently have in Africa?

We have a divine mandate to reach Africa, “From Cape Town to Cairo.” It is my desire to eventually push northward and reach the nations that today are closed to the Gospel as God opens the door. “Africa shall be saved!”

Are you focused just on Africa or you have plans for another countries?

We hold evangelistic campaigns all over the world. We have held events across Europe, Asia, North and South America as well with amazing results. The God of Africa is the God of the whole world and we see the same power demonstrated everywhere when the Gospel is preached.

What is the most amazing miracle that you have ever seen?

A few months ago I prayed for a 3-year-old boy who had died and, almost immediately, Jesus raised him from the dead! Also, just recently in London I prayed for a woman who had suffered from a stroke when she was three years old, which left her paralyzed on the right side of her body. As a result of the stroke and paralysis, her right foot was shriveled and much smaller than the left one. After the prayer, not only did her paralysis completely vanish, but the right foot grew to the same size as the left foot right before her eyes. Healings and creative miracles are very common. We have seen every imaginable part of the human body restored; blind eyes healed, cripple legs walking, dear ears hearing etc and have come to expect these signs in every meeting. But, without question, the greatest miracle of all is the miracle of salvation. When a man who is dead in sins is raised to newness of life through Jesus Christ this is the greatest wonder of all and we have seen nearly 60-million salvations since the year 2000.

How is your family involved in your ministry?

My wife stays at home and raises our three wonderful children. The love and support that she gives to me is an indispensable part of the ministry. Our assignments are different, but we work together for a common purpose…to see “Hell empty and Heaven full.”

What do you think about condition of Christianity in USA now?

Christianity is now as it has always been. There are those who are Christians in name only and there is a remnant who have truly been born again. There are those who have watered down the Gospel and there is a remnant who will not compromise. There are those who have become worldly and there is a remnant who have kept themselves unspotted by the world. America is a nation that has so many different expressions of Christianity that you can find virtually anything you are looking for; the good, the bad and the ugly. Yet, I am convinced that God is not finished with America yet and there is still a mighty move of God that will sweep the nation and bless the world.

Give three practical advices to young generation of ministers

There are three areas that ministers must always be vigilant about because they are the three areas that are most commonly attacked by the enemy: Silver, Success and Sexuality.

Silver: The world is watching to see how we handle finances and will judge our whole ministries and even Christianity itself based on how we handle our money; therefore we ought to be careful to always deal with utmost integrity in this area.

Success: Few things are more dangerous for a minister than success. It’s important to remember that you’re never as good as they say you are and you’re never as bad as they say you are… you’re always somewhere in between. I was with Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke recently when he received an award during a very special ceremony. When he got to the microphone he said, “I accept this award in the name of the one who has said, “Without me you can do nothing.” We must always be careful not to become big in our own eyes, but always remember that the bigger you are, the harder you fall.

Sexuality: We have seen so many tragic examples in recent years of ministers whose ministries have been lost, families torn apart and lives ruined because they fell into sexual sin. This sort of thing always happens one step at a time. It begins with a thought that is not taken captive and brought in subjection to Christ. This is why Jesus said, that adultery can be committed in the heart.

In all these areas, we must be sober vigilant knowing that devil is prowling around like a lion looking for someone to devour (I Peter 5:8). He has been around for a long time and destroyed men and ministries much bigger than any of us. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. (1Cor. 10:12)

My favorite place in the world is Colorado. I spent every summer there growing up and my family still has a cabin there. I love to hike (up to 12,000 ft peaks), bike, and raft in the mountains, so it is like heaven to me there. Biggest Challenge? My biggest challenge is being patient. I am very efficient and quite a perfectionist, so waiting does not come easily to me. Best Advice? Treat others as you would want to be treated, and never compromise what you know is right. Goals? To be a successful performer who is able to influence people for good.

Recognising Reality - Grieve that God is cursed for every catastrophe, but seldom praised for His wonderful Creation. Lament that God makes the news headlines only when man mocks His power or questions His goodness, but tens-of-thousands of God’s acts of mercy, grace, protection, provision and patience receive no headlines. Grieve that the Name of the only righteous Man who ever walked the earth is used as a swear word on T.V. screens and in cinemas across the world. Grieve that God is blasphemed by the very same people who question why God does not restrain the consequences of their own rebellious actions
